Mom and Puppies - Day 63 and right on schedule

Cait is too tired to report directly tonight. But tomorrow, I'm sure she will have something to say about the experience.

Just the highlights tonight. Turns out there are four puppies --- three females and one male. Coloring is predominately black with some tan and variations on the white collars and blaze. They were born around 6:00 p.m. this evening.

Everyone is fine, although there is a story to be told. For tonight, we are happy to report that everyone is resting and eating and then resting again.

Cait, your babies are absolutely beautiful!!! And four is just the right number -- five would've been one too many for any new mother. Bill and I were certain that David's guess would be more accurate than Michelle's -- after all, David's there, living with you, and Michelle only sees you once in awhile, so his prediction would just have to be more realistic.

We are SOOOOOOO glad that you can finally get some rest (between feedings, of course) and have some fun with those darling new babies. Wish we could be there with you to help. Know that our thoughts and best wishes are there instead, OK?

Love from Woodland, California and your friend Leslie

Tap here...Congrats Cait on a beautiful litter! I am an auntie - woohoo! And Pat is a grandma - she is very proud. She won't be so happy when she has to help me with my litter. I hope she doesn't mind babysitting once in a while!

Get some sleep, the little monsters are quiet and easy right now, but in about 10 days - watch out! Mom says were were very bad little puppies (well, you were...I am sure she meant I was an absolute angel)

Have fun - you'll be an auntie as well as a mom by next week!
